Welcome to the ENG 351, Principles of Literary Studies Blog produced by students at DePauw University!  The focus of this blog will be examining a range of current approaches emerging in literary studies.  These approaches include Eco-criticism, Animal Studies, Cognitive Studies, and a range of approaches that fall across the spectrum of Speculative Realism.  Many of these approaches fall under the even larger umbrella of Posthumanism.  Each of these approaches might also be identified as interdisciplinary.   Our goal is to kick the tires and test drive some of these new approaches, considering their strengths and weaknesses, what they reveal to us, what they keep hidden.  Let’s get started!
